St. Mark would like to welcome Dr. Ihab Istafanous, a deacon who teaches psychiatry at the UT Science Center in San Antonio. Dr. Ihab will be joining us for a family night in the sanctuary at St. Mark on December 16th from 7PM - 9PM to discuss the topic of "Christian Parenting". Sunday School servants will host your kids through a movie night while you attend the lecture.

With your active participation and questions about parenting and raising our kids, Dr. Ihab will visit us every quarter to continue this educational series. Please pray for our church meetings and events.

St. Mark wishes to announce the good news that, according to God’s will, a new priest will be ordained in Houston at St. Mary and Archangel Michael Coptic Orthodox Church on Sunday, October 30, 2011 during the Divine Liturgy from 8:00 to 11:30 am.

Toward this end, please note that the priest candidate, Marc Gendi, will be ordained a consecrated deacon on Saturday, October 29, 2011 at St. Mark Coptic Orthodox Church during the Divine Liturgy from 8:00 to 11:00am.

The Sunday School service at St Mark Church will take place on Saturday October 29, 2011 right after the Saturday Divine Liturgy. Also please note that the Divine Liturgy on Sunday at St Mark Church will start at 6:30am till 9:00am to give the opportunity to St Mark congregation to attend the ordination celebration at St. Mary and Archangel Michael Church
